A reading specialist or interventionist can analyze the current available data such as STAAR, Aimsweb+, SRI, WIST, STIR, DCAs, Dyslexia Progress Monitoring, and/or Tier I and II information. If more data is needed to determine placement, follow this decision tree.
Did student fail Reading STAAR (by more than 1 question), Language Arts, score below grade level lexile on RI, and/or score Med-High Risk in Aimsweb (at least 2 out of 3)?
